Metrogel Side Effects

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hello ladies. Im currently on suppression therapy of metrogel twice a week. Im probably not going to continue with it as I feel absolutely horrible like I have the flu and have almost vomited multiple times plus im very dizzy. Has anyone else had this issue on the metrogel? If not, what other symptoms have you had?

It always makes me so sick! I hate it. I don't think I can use it any longer

The gel made me feel awful.  Had it worked I might have been happy in the end.  Not easy to buy.  I went to five chemists with a prescription from my General Practioner who should have not known that it was in short supply, that the company supplying it are having problems, and the GP should have prescribed another antibiotic on 2 counts. 1. I said I doubt whether it will work as on a previous occassion it did not. 2. Five chemists did not have it in stock, one said they could order.  It is not fair that when you are sick that you have to traipse around a town to all chemists for what you know probably will not work.

when you finish with your treatment (or don't if you decide to discontinue use) use boric acid suppositories for 21 days try to time it so you've just finished your period then don't use tampons. if you have sex use a condom.

Boric acid may work but for me it caused urinary incontinance and pain in the vaginal area.  I then went on to have a tablet called vesicare 10mg to dry things up.  The vesicare worked but while taking it felt lousy.  I ended up telling people my problems when normally I would have kept them to myself and it would have been better that way.  Sometimes winning in life is some way over there!
