Microgynon and Pentasa

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows if there would be any reason for microgynon not to be effective with UC if taking pentasa. I would like to think not as I am given repeat prescriptions by my GP but have little faith in any doctors and nurses as of recent so thought I should ask.

Any info would be appreciated.

    Having been I mid wife I don't no if I would ever trust an oral contraceptive esp with uc or crohns........there's always that one day ! I had so many people get pregnant whilst on antibiotics and with tummy bugs....I always preached 2 methods of contraception if u DEFINETLY DEFINETLY did not want to become pregnant MJ x

    Wouldn't you think that people who prescribe this medication would mention this to me. Thank you for your reply.

      Mayb I ve got very sceptical ...been in my job long time and u c things happen ! Anyway seen too many pregnancies from those other things and I just think that uc or Crohn's can be so unpredictable at times so better safe than sorry !MJ x
