Hi I have never been on one of these forums . I'm 42 and have endmetrosis . My periods are usually every four weeks. But two weeks ago I had sex and the next morning I was bleeding . Since then have bled continually at first it was brown and dark now it is red . There is not lots but enough to have to wear a pad and seems to be more when I go to the toilet it's scaring me as I have never had this before.

As my gynocologist told me. Welcome to perimenopause. Where your periods get longer or shorter. Lighter or heavier. Mid cycle bleeding or not. It's loads of fun. It may have caused your period to start early. I have noticed an over Abundance of caffinee will make me start early. You may also have a uterine fibroid that's causing mid cycle bleeding. Just wait a few more days. See if it doesn't stop. If not give your gynocologist a call.

I had a fibroid removed and it slowed it down a tad and stopped the mid cycle bleeding altogether. But I still have very heavy bleeding during my long periods. I take tranexamic acid during my periods as well as Advil and. It helps tremendously. I'm praying for menopause. I'm getting the Mirena next month and that will most likely stop my period all together after a year.

I had a mirena coil last year and it was horrendous my body was trying to expel it so I had removed in ten days of having it put in . The things us ladies have to endure lol

Ugh you can say that again. How did you know your body was trying to expel it? That is my biggest worry so im curious how you knew.

I thank you for the info. I'll still try it since I can easily have it removed. But now I'll be more aware if it happens. I hope your symptoms are getting better. Thank you
