Mid foot Fusion

I went to my dr yesterday and he said I was healing slow, but I had a lot of fusions (6) on the midfoot. He said another 6 months and I should be good as new. That's almost 1 year from surgery! It's been a very painful recovery with several bone stim treatments a day and swelling if I stand for 20 minutes or more. Has anyone had midfoot fusion in this discussion? I would like to hear if others experienced a similar recovery. I watched a video online and it described my problem to a tee, right down to the fact that it started with just a tiny bump on the top of my foot. Dr said if we'd had taken that bump off sooner I'd have had a faster smoother recovery. Let that be a warning to any of you with a similar problem.

Thanks,
I haven't had another person that experienced the same problem. Let's keep in touch. Dr said I should have used the bone stim from the beginning, but my insurance wouldn't pay until 90 days from first xray. The company wanted me to pay 3k for the stimulator. I'm paying for 2 grandkids in college plus the health problems I'm having. Did yours start with a small bump on the top of your foot. The image featured is almost 6 months post-op

Hi All. You can see the result of my surgery right hand toes done on 9 Feb 2016. The lump you see on the same foot was aggravated with surgery of hammer toe and mild bunion surgery and also the mid hammer toe that was shaven down. They gave me a guided steroid injection into the lump to stop the pain when I walked in June. I was lucky it worked. However my toes swell if I walk too much still. I can do about 3 miles then toes chaff against each other. I am upset as I have had to withdraw from leading Rambler's' walks. NHS is making me bespoke orthotics due in next month. I see my consultant this week. Dare I say I almost regret the op. Watching my mum's hammer toe distort until she became a cripple made me do it. People don't realise the aftermath. I still elevate when at home. I had to go through months without walking and had an 8. 1b weight gain and constipation and drepression. I have only been walking properly without limping since June. I have had to buy 2 pairs of new shoes that take orthotics. Recovery ongoing. By the way the lump is from an old wound I am told which has become arthritic
