Middle Ear Infection (Fluid) Spread to Throat (Help?)

May 23- got left ear impression at audiologist for hearing aid. felt two strong pokes from the metal tool when she was inserting cotton. Very painful. pain subsided.

May 27- severe pain in left ear, couldn't bend over or lay down.

May 29- saw audiologist, sent me to her friend/ENT, he said I had infection in left ear, the ear pressure test couldn't return results, he cleaned my ears (painful) and gave me Biaxin and ear drops. He kept asking if I was sneezing, coughing or congested (no to all).

June 4- pain increased, saw ENT, he said to stay on the antibiotics, kept asking me if I was sneezing coughing and congested (no still)

June 11- pain still not going away, now i have sore throat and dizzy and cant swallow well. Saw ENT and he said that I had flu and it spread to the ear, creating ear infection (this is fishy because the sore throat just started).

June 11- saw second ENT, wasn't too engaged, said he wouldnt have given me these antibiotics (but i am allergic to others) then said sometimes it is 3-4 weeks.

June 17 (today) pain in ear is mostly gone, sore throat is terrible and worse. nauseaus weak dizzy. can barely swallow and coughing from the throat. no runny nose though.

Like most of you, googling this scares me. (My mother died from mistake to elective surgery, went into infection into her blood and her symptoms seemed similar to mine.)

Help?
