Might be a silly question......

Hi everyone,
Well I'm 9 weeks and 5 days out of my reconstruction surgery on my torn ligaments and tendons. And its been a trip... lol
So, does anyone have experience (and I know someone does out there ) doing their walking and feeling the surgery site on the ankle snap or pop. Like I really mean, I can feel it pop in there. Today I only stood up to get moving and it seems "stuck" in the ankle until it snapped or popped. Normal? Something to be concerned about?
Also, I can seem to walk much better with out shoes /boots on...
And I'm also not driving yet
?I can push that gas peddle down but don't have the quick reaction to get to the break just yet. Bummer... I thought I'd be driving/walking/ moving so much better by now.
Thoughts?
And thanks in advance!

Hi Rose,
I remember you asking about joint 'popping' earlier, I believe.
I just ran across an interesting article by Dr. Mercola, MD, about joint popping or cracking.
He reports that these joint sounds are usually completely normal and harmless. They are caused by a number of factors, including (for soft tissues, which us ankle patients are concerned with) when ligaments and tendons move against your bones and other tissues. Bubbles of nitrogen gas within your joint fluid, which help with joint lubrication and nutrition, can make these sounds too.
Now, ankle injuries can cause kinds of soft tissue trauma that can lead to joint sounds (ankle joint misalignment, ligament and tendon tears or stretches). His articles stresses that joint pops and cracks are not worrisome unless accompanied by pain or swelling, etc.
I hope this reassures you so you do not worry needlessly.
After all, ankle patients have enough trouble already dealing with these fiddly bits known as injured ankles.
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply KP. I know its nothing now. It has very slowed with the popping since writing that post. I reached the 10 week mark and yesterday was a great day. First one since the surgery so I know I'm going to Ok. LOL
Thanks again!
