Might have Genital Herpes and Afraid

Hello! I just went to a clinic today because I had discomfort and a read rash in my private area. The doctor took a culture and told me that it appeared to be genetial herpes (based on what the culture looked like and Her expertise) but it won't be known for sure until I receive results back in a week. I was also tested for other STDs. I asked her if she thought it was anything else and she kept assuring me that it was probably herpes. I'm a virgin, and my boyfriend and I have never had vaginal sex. We have had oral sex though. The doctor told me that he could have possibly transmitted HVs-1 orally through my vagina, and she still called it genital herpes regardless if it got it through type one or two because it was on my genetials. She also discovered Trichomoniasis, which I received medication right away. In the past , he said that he has only had chlamidya in the past relationship and nothing else. He swears up and down that he is faithfulL. I'm scared to death of the result, but I know the culture won't tell me if it is HVS 1 or 2, but I plan to take a blood test for that at another clinic. If I happen to get the HVS-1 on my genetials, does that me I have Genetial Herpes and will have constant outbreaks? Will the blood test be more accurate for me since the culture results won't tell me the type that I have? ( I'm assuming it's type 1 since I have not been in contact with anyone else in my life). I'm 18 and I am scared and really need guidance. Can someone (especially medical professionals) please help me?

The culture swab should identify HSV type. The IgG blood test should be done at 3 months post-exposure. IgM is unreliable for herpes, so shouldn't be done. Sounds like you have HSV1, if you only received oral. It's still called genital herpes, true, but it shouldn't recur very often at all if it's gHSV1 (gHSV2 is the one that can be frequently recurring). How did you get trich if you've never had sex? Didn't realise it could pass via oral sex?!

The doctor told me (mind you this is a clinic in a hospital, not my Primay care doctor) that the culture would only tell me if I have HSV, but won't specify the type. As for the Trich, I was told by the doctor and the midwife nurse that it could be passed through bodily fluids or skin to skin contact of the genetials. Online, I saw that Trich could be found on moist areas, such as toilet seats. My boyfriend told me that when he discovered that he had clamydia, he was also given tests for other STDs, but doesn't remember if Trich was one of them, but we will find out in a couple of days when I go to his doctor for my second opinion. I also wanted to let you know that I've been working out lately and I wasn't washing my gym clothes after every use. I also wasn't wiping down the gym mat/floor when working out. I also find it abnormal that contracted one (possibly 2) stds during my period while not cleaning the gym products and washing gym clothes. Can those be surfaces of the HSV 1 or 2 viruses? I also thought it could be a bacterial infection because I had diarrhea when I started to feel different, and maybe I didn't wipe good and it may have leaked into my vagina, causing some type of infection, but the doctor told me she believes it's herpes do to her experience and what the culture looked like, but the culture results will come back in a week.

Herpes is unlikely to be acquired via the gym, especially not HSV2, and especially not on your genitals. Your genitals would have to be directly rubbing on a surface with recently deposited HSV virus, which is highly improbable. Trich I know less about, but I would imagine it's still not that easy to pick up from the environment. Most likely from sex, genital contact or contaminated fingers. Most viral cultures can identify HSV type. There are admittedly some that don't. Hopefully yours is not the latter.
