Sorry to hear that you are suffering with all that, I am also going through similar things. I've had migraines for 11 years but they have become chronic since Christmas. I used to get migraine with aura and headache then they would pass. Now I get pins and needles on left hand and numbness in left hand and face. Blind spots aura dizziness and unable to speak while I have my aura then when my speech returns I stutter that can last 24 hours. I'm now physically sick and need to go to bed. I've had bloods which show inflammation only. MRI scanner last week so waiting for results. I've tried lots of preventative Meds unsuccessfully including propranolol pizotifen topiramate and amitriptyline. I saw a neurologist a few weeks ago who has prescribed pregabalin which I start today. I've handed my notice in and I'm feeling really ill between attacks which at the moment are between 20-26 per month. I'm exhausted. I absolutely feel your pain and please don't stop seeing your GP. I don't know what causes them but I so wish they would go back to one or two and month! Best of luck and hope you find some relief xx

I know you have been having a pretty rough time lately to say the least, I can sympathise with you and understand how you feel as its exactly what I get Hemiplegic Migraine, and yes it is scary for sure and you really do have to go to hospital each time because you dont know if you really are having a stroke.
You dont mention seeing a neurologist yet, this is really important so they can do a more in depth MRI scan to check things out properly.
If you are able to get refered to London you can see the countrys headache specialist, who will understand how you feel, wont talk or look down to you and provide a proper plan of treatment.
They give me Botox now which has made a huge difference to me.
Good luck Rachel, always here for support and understanding, let us know how you get on and ask me anything you like about HM
Take care

Yes, I can vouch for the Botox they have helped me so much. I dont know about this piercing thingy though, sounds more scary than a migraine lol.
Good luck with everything Rachel and remember here for you
Best wishes

Ok so are you on a anticonvulsant for your headaches or amitriptyline? Longterm use cause tingling.
Suggestion - endocrinologist for parathyroid function test. Get your b12, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and calcium levels checked.
Side note; I changed to armour thyroid a year ago. Its a bit controversial-ish because its 'natural' im not a pro natural sort of person. I just was sick of feeling the aches and heaviness being on t4 synthetic. I needed to change on that front.
Maybe an mri might be useful to rule out lesions? Like MS - cant be diagnosed via ct.
If you haven't had one. CT isn't something you want to be doing a lot of. High radiation dose and its not overly sensitive. Good for stroke, aneurysm and some tumour detection but other than that...
Hope this helps.
