Migraines are back

Hi I started getting migraines when I was 14 but I did not get pain. I did get partial blindness in one eye. Paralysis down one said which scared the hell out of me as I thought I was having a stroke. I had them regularly since then. When I was pregnant with my daughter they  became worse. I was having them every night and I couldnt cope. I was told about a migraine seminar and I attended. There was a chiropractor talking about how a bad neck can affect the dilation of blood vessels in the head which is what happens during a migraine. I was a bit sceptical at first but decided to give it a go. I never looked back. I was finally rid of my migraines for 10 years I was free of them until a month ago. I had two in a row and I couldnt believe they were back. I only get the aura and blindness now but they still scare the hell out of me because I feel very weird in the head for about a week after. Well that was back then. I am still suffering the affects and now it has affected my eyes. My eyes feel like I am in constant migraine mode and its scaring me. Its like sometimes I think I can only see half of things when I look at them and I panic that a migraine is coming on. I am now living in constant fear that I will have a migraine every day and I am not coping. My anxiety is really bad right now and I am not sure if that is making things worse. I had an eye test and came back ok and a brain scan and it was fine but I am worried I have torn an artery in my neck and that the migraine has done permanent damage to my eyes or worse given me some sort of brain damage. I just cant stand how my eyes feel. Its driving me mad and I cant live this way much longer. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this after a migraine. I feel like I am the only one going through this and its pretty scary. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello hun,

Nope your not the only one going through this horrible sicknesses, I'm so tired of having this pressure and the numbness feeling on my right side, my eyes hurt and I do get blurry vision too.. I'm forgetting things too and my speech is different at times..

    I write things backwards too..

I feel depressed too and my neck hurts horrible...

I feel like someone hitting me with a hammer in my head..and the food gets me vomitting and dizziness spells when I walk. ..

    Horrible..😷🤕😷🤢🤢

I was diagnosed with Hemiplegic Migraines with Aura and I need to see a neurologist as soon as possible to get the right meds, cause I'm going crazy...

Hope you feel better soon hun 🤕😩😄

I’m so sorry. I’ve had similar & did have a rare migraine stroke in which I lost my peripheral vision on my left eye permanently. Go to a neuro-opthpmologist at a major clinic. It helps. I’d also recommend counseling or psychiatrist. Living with the fear of loosing your sight is scary.

Your type of migraines usually involve the brain stem. Higher quality MRIs can show more. I was worked up for MS. I don’t have it but the workup found a lot more than my neurologist ever did.

Fight, scream, cry for help. It’s not right what you are going through. Hormones can play a big role too.

Because of your continued eye problems I’d try to see a MS clinic. Just because you have migraines doesn’t mean it isn’t something else. And it puts your mind at ease. The testing they can do on eyes is way way more than what your average eye dr does.

Good luck, you are not alone

Try CoQ10, multivitamin with fish oil & high dose Mag
