Mild abnormality on ct scan

Hello i have been having chronic severe abdominal pain and back pain that has caused bloating nausea loose mucusy and bloody stools also have been feeling so tired all my tests came back normal apart from a ct that said my abdomen and bowel was ok but they found a mild abnormality and i have got to have a blood test they said its probably nothing as all my other blood results came back ok i just wanted to know has anyone else had this with a ct of there abdomen and what did it come back as

Im not going to worry but now i just want to know what it is they found

    Hi there. I guess you are probably in the UK as it is quite common for staff to say they have spotted something but not tell you what. Quite often they pass the info to your IBD specialist for him/her to discuss it with you. In a CT scan they are looking for tissue irregularities and if you have IBD history these can be abscesses or fistulae arising from say Crohn's or diverticulitis. In my case I had some diverticular "pouches " identified on one occasion and an abscess on another some years later. I would press your IBD staff to let you know what they have found to ease your mind. If it WAS something serious you would have been told by now I am quite sure.

      Hi thankyou for replying so soon yes ive had to wait ages just to be seen pain is awfull it seems to be in lower left abdomen and in the middle and right and also in lower back they are being very vague and told me all by letter it is comforting they said a mild abnormality but thats all they said i will push it further and see if they can give me more info they did stool test for chrones and celiac and came back all ok and your right if it was something serious they would have said they are giving me a blood test would that show chrones or ibd
