Mild burning sensation in arm?

I've been doing surprisingly well for the last few weeks. My fatigue seems to have improved for the time being and up until yesterday my joint pain was almost non-existent (back now because of my cycle). But now I have something new and the reason I'm asking here is because I remember seeing some of you mention nerve pain with mono. What I have isn't what I consider nerve pain since it's only my skin and not really achy like the nerve pain in my legs was (not to mention that is isn't effecting a full limb), but upon doing some searches, I've seen it mentioned as a form of nerve pain which left me wondering if any of you have had it. Two days ago, a small patch of skin between my elbow and where my arm bends started hurting a bit. The best way I can describe it is that sort of dull raw/burning feeling you get when you slide your hand over razor burn or a rash. It isn't sensitive to material so far and just aches when I rub it gently. It has me worried but being out of town for several weeks, I can't make any doctors appointments unless absolutely necessary.

I have a spot on my back that is like that. My back hurts in the muscle but especially when i get relaxed or in the shower the skin kind of crawls or feels funny. Not hurting but just feels like maybe it is hot or cold or something it is really hard to explain i think its more like that patch is almost asleep. It has been there about two weeks or so.

I recovered from mono over 3 years ago but whenever I go through something stressful I find myself getting exhausted and I get a burning sensation under my skin in my upper body. I know it sounds weird, but mono and epstein barr symptoms are weird. It's years later but when I feel this burning coming back I rest and don't push myself. This seems to help me recover without having a full blown episode. So I think our symptoms can come and go with this. Hang in there! This is a great forum to meet others going through the same things.

Hi Ciela,
Pleased to hear that you have been doing a bit better recently, that is definitely something positive to build on. Sometimes it can still take a while for this virus to level out, even after you start to see some improvements, so very much hoping these pains around the skin area in the elbow can settle down and that this is just a temporary thing, which I'm sure it will be.
The nervous system can take a real battering during mono so it can be normal to get all sorts of weird aches and pains, I remember I had different phases of different pains which came and went during the virus, it was so frustrating, but everything did pass with time thanks to God only. B complex vitamin and/or co-enzyme Q10 can be very good and soothing for the nervous system I believe.
Hoping this settles Ciela and hang in there!
