Mild CP symptoms in 5 1/2 year old?

Hello my daughter is 5 1/2 and has tip toe walked 100% of the time since she could walk. AT the 3 years old the doctor said he is not worried and to wait. she has a mild speech impediment and is below the learning milestones at school for her year group. she has already had 4 fillings 18 months ago and is so hyper. Her school highlighted all of this and said we need to watch it carefully. she is now being referred again for speech therapy and an educational pschycologist. I'm really beginning to think this is CP. Has anyone else been in this situation? thankyou.

What are "fillings"? Do you mean she's had dental fillings for cavities?
CP wouldn't cause hyperactivity, but could interfere with staying still, and it shouldn't cause cavities. It would affect speech and walking, though. Behavior and toe-walking are also signs of autism, but please tread carefully as I believe that the label is applied too liberally when there are harder-to-find reasons.
It's wonderful that she'll have an evaluation for speech and by an ed. psych. That will tell you so much! You may also want to see a pediatric neurologist and have MRI to rule out (or find?) CP.
My son had obvious visual issues since one eye frequently turned out. He has food allergies and was slow to walk, and hard to understand his speech. We thought his visual issues were holding him back physically - he was so clumsy! He was also having some behavior problems in nursery school (only at age 3) and was a real handful at home. I took him to a neurologist since I thought a developmental pediatrician may have seen autism where there is none, and after a year she suggested we "rule out CP", which was actually confirmed. One month later, his endoscopy/biopsy results were back and Coeliac Disease was also confirmed (he had various pain complaints and fatigue for years so I took him to a rheumatologist and she sent us to a GI doc when his bloodwork looked like CD). When he was 5, he had surgery for the "lazy eye" which helped and we tried vision therapy, too. He has no depth perception but he's not falling down every single day like he used to. (He also has eczema so sitting still isn't his best skill yet)
So, some kids are like onions and you have to work hard, maybe over years, to peel back the layers. Just keep going until you get the answers you need!!! We still may not have them all for my little guy, but we discovered the major ones and he's one of the best readers in his class, he attends fairly well now and is so much happier and better behaved than at age 3 or 4. (Some of that is maturity, too)
GL to you!!
