mild flue and cough virus

2 weeks ago caught virus of some sort - a bit achy, slight temperature, glands in neck up and hurting.    Since then - dry cough that keeps you awake at night and loads of mucus that won't shift.  

Not a smoker, so can't blame that for it.    Docs won't give antibiotics for viruses, but how long can you go on with a cough that wears you out.   Usually Covonia night time sorts me out, but not this time.  

Anybody else had this nasty bug ?   What did you do to try to get rid ?

    Have you tried Covonia for dry tickly coughs .. or Bronchostop?

    I had similar last year .. and both sorted it out.

    Try honey with warm water and lemon to sooth your cough. A cough can go on for ages I find, particularly in the winter.
