mild sore throat for 6 months

so as the title says ive had a mild sore throat for around 6 months, the best way to describe the pain is with π its low but never ending. it sort of seems like a dry throat type thing, like it will get progressively worse depending on how dry it is. which it shouldn't be as it is a quite humid summer here though it could be related to hayfever ( coming out of spring) which i think it would most likely be . in addition im taking doxycycline ( 50mg) daily, and multivitamins, along with a fairly consistent workout schedule as well as a pretty good diet.
