hi Avril,  can you give a little more detail as you say tinnitus started again after a year?    how long did you have it the first time and any idea why it went?   we all live in hope of it 'going'.   rotten luck for you that it has come back. best wishes.

I don't know why it seemed to ,I think after having a nervous breakdown with it and couldn't have been in a darker place, I just seemed to seemed to adjust to it I think but it's started up as bad and don't want to go to that place again. My mum had it too and I wonder if it's hereditary.

I sometimes fight back such panic..I am so fearful of this worsening..God i.pray not..I hear horror stories..fear.of worsening can be at times debilitating, so I try to not think on it. My ears actually sometimes feel like Tha r on the verge of vibrating the buzz gets so loud..I pray, pray, pray for a cure

Trying hypnotherapy this week, I need to learn again how to ignore it.

Good luck with the hypnotherapy.   Would be interested to know if it helps as I would be willing to give it a go.
