Mineralized / Porcelain Gallbladder

My CT scan revealed at least one gallbladder stone and a partially mineralized gallbladder. On googling, it seems gallbladder surgery removal is recommended. I scheduled an appt with Gastro but most of the better rated MDs have an 8 to 10 week wait for an appt. For others who have this porcelain gallbladder condition, what did the MD tell you at your appt? I would guess there is not much else for the gastro to say except "Surgery is recommended". How urgent is surgery? Should I watch and wait for x months and then get the surgery?
