For many women with endo, estrogen is a bad combination, as it can escalate the growth of the endo, or cause terrible side effects.
The mini pill is a progesterone only pill, it is what I will be on too after I have finished my post surgery treatment, and it is one of the best options.
Hope this helps xx

No worries hun.
I'm sorry but I never experienced anything other than painful periods and the week before the period so I'm not too sure about the other symptoms. And I never had heavy periods until 3months before my surgery when I finally noticed that things were just getting too bad and I needed to be sure on what it was. But regardless try the mini pill. It is supposed to be good at helping. If it doesn't then they will most likely try another pill on you.
Cancer wise. I have only heard about the pill helping. As it keeps your hormones in check and that's what flares up cancers in women. But pills can cause clotting and deep vein thrombosis if you're not careful. Best thing to do for that is to stay active.
I know its not much. But I hope it's helped to put your mind somewhat at ease xx
