Minty/Burning Mouth

I've been watching the community posts about a minty feeling in the mouth. For me it was also eyes, nose, mouth. Let me say, I definitely get this sensation when I have reflux. But I take medicine for that and this was different. It was my eyes and my nose. And it then became more of a burning mouth sensation. The culprit for me, I'm almost positive is mold in my home. It was all under our house and we had to have it remediated. A week later, I came back into the house and could still feel it. They missed a huge section and had to come back and clean it. Two weeks later I could still feel it. My spouse kept asking everyone if it could be in between the boards and the subfloor but everyone said that wasn't possible because it would have to be damp. So we got our ducts cleaned (they did find all kinds of gross stuff in there). But I could still feel it. I told my spouse exactly where I felt it and he just started pulling up boards from our floor. Low and behold, every room I felt it in, there was mold in the subfloor. We've replaced the subfloor of two different rooms now and I still feel it, so now we are going to get some mold kits to see where it is hiding. This has been a miserable, miserable experience. My anxiety is so bad sometimes I don't feel like I can do this any more. I am so grateful to have someone who believed me. I will say that I think the mold is so in my system that I actually get the burning mouth feeling if I'm immediately in contact of the moldy area or almost as a detox when I've been away from the house for like 4-5 days. It's totally bizarre. If we can't find the source of the mold, then we are selling our house. It seems to only affect me (I've always had an allergy to molds but normally my lungs hurt), and while I love our house, nothing is worth this. Hoping this might help someone. I would recommend getting a professional to come and test your house for mold. That was a good start for us.

Thanks Tricia for the information! It’s always good to share information regarding health and experiences as it will definitely help someone, someday.
Hope you find and extirpate the root cause and don’t have to sell your house.
