Mirena coil spotting help

hi I have had the mirena coil for 14months now, I am still having a monthly period a little lighter only 2 sanitary towels a day for 4 days and i have also noticed I continue to have a small amount of brown/red spotting for maybe another 2 weeks, I'm so worried it could be womb cancer, everyone else seems to have no period or very light on the mirena. went to my gp she checked the strings and said my womb looked very healthy and said if I was concerned she could send me for a scan to check for fibroids but to give it another 3 months, she said she doesn't see any signs if cancer , I should also say I am a very very anxious person, and always worried about cancer.
