Mirena for ovarian cyst and endometriosis?

Has anyone gotten this IUD to prevent cysts and Endo? I got my right ovary removed two weeks ago but during the pre op appt she said I would still have to be on some type of hormonal birth control to prevent cysts on the good ovary and to keep the little Endo I have under control or the IUD...I tried two birth control pills in the past and they didn’t work, one made me throw up for 4 weeks straight the second one made my GERD so bad I ended up at the ER ..last week I started a new pack of new pills and I can tell my GERD won’t agree, it’s getting worse by th day already ...today I have my follow up appt for surgery and I know we are going to talk about the pills and I’ll be honest with her: I can’t stand them, my stomach doesn’t react well and it’s just so stressful to mess something up in my body just to try to fix something else, it’s like a lose lose situation ...so my question is does anyone have experience with Mirena for this specific situation? I know it seems like my only option, I’m just not sure if I should go for it or try more pills and see
