Mirena help really needed

Posted , 2 users are following.

Had mirena fitted three weeks ago, was in bit of pain but settled down. But last 4 days I am in agony, severe pain in left side of my back and severe stomach and groin cramps, to the point now I can hardly walk or actually eat. Taking tramadol and paracetamol and not really touching it. Is this normal???? Like to think I have pretty high pain threshold but this is like nothing I have felt before. Really need some advise

Hi. I honestly think you need to go and see a doctor right away! I have a Mirena IUD and I only had cramping and pain the first few days of having it inserted and have not had any other pain since then. Maybe yours has moved out of place and you need to have it replaced again. I've heard that they can shift.

Good luck! I hope you figure something out. Your IUD definately shouldn't be that painful at this point. So I hope you are able to see a doctor very soon!
