Mirena removal and reinsertion tomorrow.. has anyone had this???

Interested to find out how people have got on with having the mirena coil taken out and then a new one put back in straight after?

Will I likely have bad cramping or bleeding straight after? Just need to know as I have work after and need to be prepared.

Any advice appreciated?

I think every experience is different the first time I got it inserted the pain was bearable but after my reinsertion, the pain was so bad i had to call out of work, the bleeding was mild but since i got it back in i've been bleeding everyday.

I went in as scheduled yesterday to have the switch. However my doctor couldn’t locate the coil. So I’m now being referred to the health clinic who specialise in “ difficult coil removals” yesterday was pretty painful just having her poking around my cervix and womb.

I’m seriously just considering getting my tubes tied. This is horrible.
