Mirt withdrawal advice please

Hi there, just need some advice, I tapered off SSRI's Zooloft a few weeks ago, I was on 50 mg for a month or two then 100 then back down etc. I was only on them for about 3 months total, along with Mirtz 15mg. The problem is that the Mirtz did not have the desired effect on my sleep, which is unusual? I have never had insomnia in my life, then had an episode of acute anxiety, so went on Zooloft, then Mirtz added for sleep and uptake. The thing is that despite being off Zooloft 3 weeks now, and Mirtz just 1 week or so, I still wake up every hour it seems. I seem to be coping with other side effects, ie increased anxiety, its just lack of sleep is a killer. Should I expect this even on such a small time period? Or have others experienced the same? I realise that if you have taken the drug (s) for many years there would be more chance of withdrawal symptoms, but what about 2- 3 months? I would appreciate any advice or reassurance, as its hard to get any energy with no sleep. I dont want to take sleeping tabs as Im done with drugs, it seems thats all Drs want to do, load us with drugs...
