Mirtazapine and amitriptyline together??

hi all

I spoke with my doc today and hes prescribed me mirt i dont know what size dose but i would imagine 15mg. I have A and D but ssris seemed to stop working after about 12 years . im on amitriptolene 20mg per night and propananol 30mg per day. My doc was literaly on the fone with me for about 30 seconds enough time to say try mirt ill put a prescription out for you to collect , so i didnt have time to ask any questions.... and i worry a lot.

so i just thought you folks may be able to shed some light on this for me please. ive read about serotonin syndrome and have concerns......
