Mirtazapine withdrawal

Hi

I'm new here.

I've been in an anxiety crisis since Christmas after stupidly coming off my Venlafaxine last October.

I was started on Mirtazapine 15mg 29th December but it only helped temporarily. They upped my dose to 30mg but the same happened.

A different GP agreed I could swap back to the Venlafaxine. He told me to go down to 15mg for a week then stop the Mirtazapine and start Venlafaxine 75mg (37.5 twice a day).

When I went on Venlafaxine 7 years ago i didn't have many side egfects and seemed to improve fairly quickly.

But since swapping meds 4 weeks ago I've had awful insomnia, NO appetite at all (which has now given me a phobia of eating), I've lost 1.5 stone in weight, my anxiety is still really high, my stomach feels like it's doing flips and I don't feel like I'm improving like last time I started Venlafaxine.

Could this be Mirtazapine withdrawal?

After reading online I feel like my GP should have tappered the Mirtazapine more.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience in how long Mirtazapine withdrawal lasts?

I'm panicking that I'll never recover.

Thank you in advance.
