Hello. I'd go much slower. Much, much slower. I'm trying to reduce from under 5mg and it's taking forever but the side effects from quitting quickly are pretty bad for most people. There are lots of posts on here that say the same. I've just stabilised after a 10% cut 4 weeks ago. I really wish it were faster but I'll get off it eventually.

You can supplement with another AD or switch to a different AD (under your doctor's guidance) but the cut they've suggested shows they've clearly never tried to come off this med themselves! Take care

hello my doctor also said if you try to tapper on 15mg to 7.5mg it causes more problems so itd better to go from 30mg to 15mg then alter the days like miss one day take it the next for a week then stop. going to see what i.feel like on the 15mg for a week if i feeling bad im going to stick with the 15mg for aliitle longer then start to alter the days ect. thank you for your reply. think i will be starting something else aswell once off mirtazapine as my anxiety and depression hasnt inproved with mirtazapine sadly 😪

You have to go with what you feel comfortable with. Hope you pop back to report on how you got on. It helps others who are struggling with the same thing to read the success stories. All the best
