Hi
i attended the hospital today as a few months ago i got a small red mark on my side. i just left it for a while thinking it was some kind of blood blister. after a few weeks i noticed it had changes size and shape, also it had gone very dark. here is a picture in the stages...
i went in to see my doctor who booked me an appointment with the dermatologist as urgent.
after 2 weeks waiting, today he told me that is is an eruptive histiocytoma, after doing some research on the internet. it doesnt seem like this is what it is at all. firstly im only 33 and it seems its more common in older people, secondly it says they do not normally appear individually and normally lots together almost like an outbreak. thirdly it seems its very very rare. any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated.

They must have carefully assessed it and decided it is not cancerous. That is the main thing.

I do feel they are right. Because it is rare and normally shows in older people etc doesn't rule it out. I feel they wouldn't make a pronouncement like that if it was wrong.
