Missed 1 tablet, can it cause a blip

Hi all

I think I might have missed a tablet, I found it on my sofa. I may have just dropped one from my box though. I have had an awful week, have felt like I am going right back to square one. Could missing a dose cause this. I am on week 17 and on 20mg.

    Hi ann36090,

After 17 weeks on the same dose a missed dose should not make a lot of difference. Cit takes 2 weeks to peak in your system and, because of the way it stays in your body, it peaks at around 2.5 time your dose. For example 50mg stays in your system if you are on 20mg daily. Missing a dose will cause the amount in your system to drop, but only for 36 hours or so. Sorry, but there is no reason why you should have a bad week, but maybe just a bad day or two. Don't worry about missing the occasional dose. These things happen. I know this seems stupid but I've been there and done it, accidentally of course.

    Best wishes

very unlikely in my experience and experience of couple of other people I know who use it.

17 weeks is very early days, I had intermittent weeks of feeling unwell at that stage and did not feel stabilised.

time is a key in key experience.

Hi Ann, I was affected badly if I missed a dose, infact, even taking my dose a few hours after I was due used to affect me too, and put this down to being sensitive to them. These can affect people differently.

      Hi

I have been told I am sensitive to medication.

Feels like the side effects I had at the start.

Hot sweats, weird dreams, fuzzy head, very high anxiety especially in the mornings, feeling more disconnected, not wanting to go out, over thinking, etc

Yes, they are what I have had, sounds normal to me, unfortunately.

Hi Ann, everytime I missed a dose or was tapering, yes it was awful. The best I felt on these was when I was completely settled on them and took them same time every night. Any slight change made me ill, the hemi migraines were the worst, thats why I came off them. Withdrawal is tough too. Despite this cita has been a lifesaver for many people, so hang in there, peoples experiences on these can vary.
