Missed doses of Carbimazole

Posted , 5 users are following.

HI Guys

I Have been an idiot and missed approx 5 days of carbimazole tabs (20mg). Not quite sure how it happened but it is what it is.

I have been on them 2 1/2 months for Graves and was feeling great and seeing positive reductions in T3 etc.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and how much of a set back this will be. I have started to see my resting heart rate climb again and the feeling of anxiousness has returned.

Any advise is greatly received

thank you

I've never done that, but as a nurse, i would advise you to start over and let your doc know also. i believe if you get back on your medication you will be fine. i also have graves and i check off everyday on a piece of paper that i took both doses of my pill. it really helps.

I agree with Arlea. Get back on it as soon as possible. What helped me was a combination of meds and supplements. My doc dealt with my meds dosage and adjustments and I did research and added supplements. This helped lower my antibodies and my doc made sure my antibodies were normal or non-detectable before he told me to stop meds. I was on decreasing doses of meds over a 10 year period and finally was able to stop them this year in April.

well , as you say , you are where you are .... so just get right back on

your course ... and pick up from where you left off and start again .

I'm sure you will be able to catch up

again but obviously if you do that too often you're going to be off kilter

Why dont you leave your medication

at the side of your bed.. or next to the kettle .. where you can easily see them.. or buy a seven day pill box

with days of the week in the front

so you will be sure you took them .. and will clearly see if you did not .

i hope you're right back on track again and feeling nice and calm.

    take care

    luv Mx
