Hi Dirk, I take my Pred every morning at about the same time. However because I do B&B sometimes it gets late - and even forgotten until much later in the day. I can't say I get the kind of reaction that you have had. I'm finding however  - now that I am tapering, the impact of reduction causes fatigue, sweating (not nice in a lady!) and some joint aches. Now down to 6 mg. from 20mg, and hoping to leave the wretched things off by Spring next year.

Hi, I am down to 6mg but I take 2mg in the morning and 4mg at night, if I take them all in a morning by late evening I am in pain. My GP says that's ok what ever works for you. I won't forget again in a hurry.

My sweating(head) has returned this winter with a vengeance. Is it due to reduction ? I am down to 9mg. Oh please, can someone tell me that it will disappear eventually.

I sure have!  You know instantly why you're hurting, that's for sure.  It's a real reminder how effective and important it is to stay on schedule with medications.

Everybody probably at some time! Most of them say "Never again!" - until the next time...

I often say I think it is perhaps a good thing - you know the PMR is still active and it reminds you what it is like so you are ess likely to be lulled into a false sense of security!

Oh, and a PS - for the important medications I have an alarm set on my phone and carry the medication for 24 hours with me.

      Hi EileenH,

I do have an alarm on my phone to tell me when to take it, but I turned the alarm off when we got inside the restaurant so it wouldn't disturb other diners. So in fact it's my own fault.

I so agree with your reply Eileen. It confirms why we still need to take this medication.

Dirk, welcome to the human race, unfortunately we do forget from time to time and have to pay for it. Thank goodness the body allows it and catchs up. Good luck think positive and try and keep smiling. 🙂

Of course we have!  Usually not more than once, though I confess to having done it twice....
