I mentioned in a recent post that most of the people who had written a comment about CFS/ME had been a long-time smoker but had given up a number of years ago.  This may be a missing link or has this been discovered previously?

Obviously, my comment won't have got to everyone, so I hope anyone who reads this and has been a smoker and given up, later to find they have CFS/Me, please comment here.  eek

I've never smoked.  In fact have always really struggled and start coughing when anyway near someone who is smoking.

Where to start? That is such an important question. I wish I knew. A diary would be great is there an online uk site that facilitates this?

As there is possibly two different linked starts to developing ME/CFS maybe there are different links?  One way I have heard of is after an illness or an operation.  Mine just seems to have developed, no obvious start.
