Hi all

Can you tell me....I have been on Mitazapine now for two weeks and I think I can feel it beginning to work but where as my sleep was very good on it I have found that sleep is not as good now the further on I am.  Last night I tossed and turned and kept waiting up.  Is this normal

Just to add Mirtazapine does have some sedatory effects early on so it may be that this has helped you sleep but your body is now getting used to it, also might have just been a one off. Try to relax before bed, relaxed body and mind 😀

    hope  this helps

Hi David thanks for reply. I do relax I have a read and when my eyes feel heavy I turn light out and go to sleep immediately.  I have been seeing a hypnotherapy and counsellor and today (Thursday) I woke up happy and I was joking and laughing at work.  I came home and took dog for long walk and then anxiety was back when I was home.  I live alone now that daughter has moved on with her life and career.  I think my anxiety is due to that but time will heal I hope.  Once again many thanks

Sounds like you have made a negative connection somewhere there, keep a log of when the anxiety happens and see if it is a feeling or object ect that triggers it. You mention your anxiety being because your on your own and your daughter moving on with her life. It could be something like seeing a picture of her when you walk in the house ect is the trigger. Once you narrow down the trigger it will be easy to change the emotional association to a positive one 😀🙏

I think deep down it is the fact that I am no longer needed by my immediate family and have to find a different road to travel, also that I now live alone for the first time in 30 years

Scary but just think of the opertunities open to you. You are needed, here for example. You are needed you just need to let people know you are available. Volunteer, learn rock climbing, join a knitting circle, go dancing, start a blog. You have a life of experience but so much more to come, fill the rest with sunshine and rainbows don't let loneliness into your life enjoy the solitude, stop and listen to silence, it's a beautiful thing. Smile 😀🙏❤️
