You don’t need to take anything you don’t want doctors aren’t gods and they don’t know about mirtazapine’s withdrawels so stand fast and research anything they give you

Hi Dawn ...I feel the same way. I go in this week and I want to ask if I can go down to 15. I know he's going to say that the mirt must be helping me that's why I felt so dreadful when I went off it. I think it was withdrawals but he seems to think it's my depression coming back. Does anyone know if this is true or not ?

I think it was withdrawals because I never had stomach problems before going off mirtazapine.

    I wish you well Dawn

Thanks I hope they put me back to trazadone the done the job for Years then changed them for no reason

Doctors do not recognise that there are any withdrawals from mirtazapine and I was put back on them twice them saying I needed them but I was experiencing withdrawals and that why I felt so awful

Take along any information on withdrawals you can find and precent them to your doctor it’s a hard drug to come off

      Hi

I think I might go to the doctor with some paper work that proves withdrawals are real. I don't want to go back on mirtazapine. I'll take my chances and if I have to I'll take a different antidepressant but not this one, this one from what I'm reading is the worst to get off but weirdly some people don't get withdrawal at all from mirtazapine. I was reading on the health board

Your Dr knows the withdrawals, but he's told which tablets to prescribe & for how long. It's all down to money. Can you do without AD'S & maybe try something natural like Passiflora? 👍

Was on. Chlorpromazine a d trazadone for many years was feeling OK most of the time u i

      Until they changed them

Sorry but I can't understand why people get worried about what Dr says. You are in charge of your own life, it's up to you which tablet to take, if any 👍

Not scared just worried that he will try get me to go back on them

It’s very difficult to stand up to your doctor as they can be very tough and if you don’t do what they say they can say they won’t treat you so yes we are in charge of what we take but there is a way to say it

Of course 😊 I wasn't saying to be rude to your Dr. I tell my Dr nicely what I'm prepared to take & for how long. If we disagree, I have the final say. 👍
