moderate to sever knee pain and weakness after jogging

I jogged for the first time in years yesterday evening.  I jogged less than a mile, and felt fine after.  I went to bed, slept through the night, then this morning as I got out of bed, my knee popped and my leg collapsed downward causing me to fall to my knees.  Since then, my knee is swollen, weak and when I try to bare weight I get a sharp sting and then the leg collapses.  Any thoughts?  35 male with history or torn meniscus x3 --the sep surgeries but they were all more than 10 years ago.

Get some medical advice and don't go jogging. After so many years your knee could be worn out and needs an MRI scan

Thanks!  I made an appointment with an Orthopedic Specialist but cant get in to see them until 8/19, meanwhile in all that I read it seems I may have a torn ACL.

Thanks Linda!  I havent jogged for some years until the other night, and now this issue after my first day of jogging--I will definitely not be jogging or running again--too much impact for my joints--will have to stick to walking and swimming I suppose.  It is no better today, collapses constantly under weight so I am largly favoring it to avoid falling and causing further injury.    Have you ever torn and ACL?
