Mole question? Just had one removed for biopsy.

I heard from a friend that a cancerous/melanoma mole will not usually grow hair. Cancer cells kill hair follicles. The mole I had removed had 4/5 hairs growing from it. Should i be relieved? Can anyone give me more info on this? thanks

    You should be fine. Are you waiting on results?

      yes, won't get results for a week but absolutely terrified. the mole was located behind my ear so I wasnt keeping track of it.. don't know if it had changed etc. just hanging on to the hope that if it was growing hair then at least it wouldnt be a late stage melanoma?
