Mona Lisa touch

I had a consultation yesterday with the doctor to schedule the Mona Lisa touch… After five years of urinary trac infections as a result of the atrophy I'm going to go for it… Let me know if anyone here has had success with it or what your results have been if you have had the treatments

Through the holidays went through another UTI with pain and more antibiotics. At wits end

    nancy, I am so glad to hear you are going to have this treatment! I get so angry hearing about all the suffering with so few options for solutions. You will be our frontrunner!!  I hope this teatment will be the wave of the future for post menopausal women. It's a ray of sunshine for me, I can tell you that! I wish you the very best. Please keep us informed. I have a ways to go, but if my condition deteriorates I will  be in line for it. Did the docotor give you any statitistics worth sharing?

      Doctor said has had excellent results, 5 minute procedure, 3 treatments 6 weeks apart then once a year.  Will keep you posted on my progress and for me my hope is that the uti's will be gone, he did say the atrophy of the vj also effects the utethea which causes uti.  If I get a uti before or after treatment must call him immediately.

      I had the procedure but I was wondering if anyone else was told to use Premarin cream 2xs a week also when starting the 3 treatments and afterwards ? I am Glad that you are doing good since yours Nancy.

    I am scheduled for the Mona Lisa on March 9. I could have gotten in next week but had scheduling conflicts and want some time after the first treatment "just in case" I need I need it. While all these meds may help, I just hate adding more estrogen as I had breast cancer and even though they say not much is absorbed I still don't like using them.

      I too don't trust the estrogen and truly it does not help with the uti infections.  will post how I do and you let me know your results.  Are you in the U.S.?  Doctor said 5 minute procedure and I can drive myself home.

      My gyn says one of the best "side effects" of the laser treatment is how much it helps the urethral atrophy!! I have scoured every possible reference to the ML treatment online and can't find any negatives...maybe one or two patients who say it didn't help. Most claim it's up there in the MIRACLE range! 👼🏼

      My Dr. is just getting the laser this month, and I'm thinking I would like her to practice on a few others first! Although, if she offered it for FREE to test it out, I would be first in line😀

      Free would be nice... Stanford said next year they would have a study but just can't wait anymore.  I bet in a few years it will be covered but for now out of pocket

      Maybe we'll be lucky enough to have the yearly maintenance procedure covered...although I start Medicare in a year, and I'm sure they're not going to ever cover it

      I am already on Medicare now. The estrogen cream s very expensive donut would even out. Doubt Medicare will ever cover too

      Procedure rescheduled for March 18 due to some conflict with the Dr.

      What kind of specialist do you see? I was just dxed yesterday with severe AV. Not sure where to turn but to think I will be in this much pain forever is making me panic. This is all new to me

      See a pelvic pain dr. Most ob's don't know much about AV. You could also try a Uro-gynecologist. You may have to go to a major medical center. If you are forced to go to a local OB. Just ask if they feel qualified to treat it.  To find the MOna LIsa therapy go to Mona Lisa website and click on search for a Doctor.

      Atrophic Vaginitis, the thinning and inflammation of the walls of the vagina (and urinary tract) as a result of a decrease in estrogen
