Hi everyone Im 39yrs old and have been suffering with vaginal atrophy ever since I was 28 at which point i had a partial hysterectomy. Absolutely nothing is working lubes, creams not even the pill insert of estrogen. Will someone please tell me what will help I am considering the Mona Lisa Touch next if someone has had this procedure please let me know how it worked for you. I'm so depressed about this. I feel less of a woman and do not even want to be intimate because it's so embarrassing and painful.

Have you tried getting prescribed compounded 50/50 estrodial and estriol cream, known as bi-est? You can get it compounded to go on the labia that you use daily. In addition there is also a compounded estriol cream that can be inserted as needed vaginally at night that should start to make those tissues better. You are too young to be dealing with dryness and libido issues. Have you suggested testosterone supplementation to your doctor? You can get this from a compounding pharmacy as well made for women. Start at a low mg and work your way up slowly until you feel better. You will be surprised what how testosterone can bring life back to a struggling libido. It can also help with soreness, dryness and thinning tissues you are experiencing. Something to consider. Estriol is the safest estrogen. If this works for you you will need to maintain it for the rest of your life or your issues will come back. Your body is not going to make enough of these hormones anymore to keep things healthy. Good Luck

I am at the point myself I am willing to try just about any and everything for whatever the cost just to get some relief even been drinking 6 bottles of water a day hoping that'll help. And I agree if the doctors were experiencing what we were maybe there would be a little more understanding. Fern did they make you pay for the whole procedure upfront or were you able to pay for it in increments such as at each session?

Hi, I have had atrophy for about 4 years and been through all the suggested treatments. It was only after seeing a specialist that I made any progress he gave me Ovestin plus Tibolone and this combination has eased all my symptoms as long as I maintain it. If I forget and get a bit lax the symptoms slowly return so I know this is the lowest dosage for me. I still need a bit of extra lubricant when having sex which I use Sylk a natural plant based one which makes everything more comfortable. I had also considered the Mona Lisa to avoid all of this but it seems the top ups are required which is another expense plus quite a few had initially been almost cured and then seen the return of symptoms. I hope you find the combination that works for you soon people don't realise how awful this is!

I definitely agree it's awful. Had you been put on vagifhem before the Ovestin? Just wondering because that is currently what I'm using and even tho it's only been a month and a half don't see any difference my doc says to wait 4 months that is a lifetime when dealing with this.
