Mona Lisa Treatments

Hi I have been looking on the internet to have the Mona Lisa procedure carried out and could only find one clinic in London which charges £3000 for three treatments. Wondering if anyone has had the procedure carried out anywhere else Spain etc and if so how much and could anyone recommend a clinic I am hoping this will be an alternative to HRT and have been looking at the various posts which people have made which all seem to be very positive any comments would be appreciated.

    Hi Kathryn

Try the London Clinic. Consulant Dr Tozer charges £500 for each treatment. I haven't had it done as can't afford it but that was the price quoted last year. If you go ahead, please let me know if it improves your symptoms - might make me change my mind! Good luck.

Hi a big thank you for taking the time to reply to my question concerning clinics that perform this treatment, just debating the subject as my symptoms keep reoccurring and I don't want to rely on HRT for the rest of my life as with many people the cost is a major factor.Again many thanks

Kathryn there are several places that do it in Spain and in Italy there are even more.

You can google Prof Marco Gambacciani, his team at a large hospital in Pisa apparently conducted 600 lasers last year alone. There is also a Dr Gaviria in Barcelona I understand.

    I hope this is helpful

    Hi Kathryn

I was quoted £3000 by one London clinic and you could pay this monthly on a payment plan if you wish which would be useful for many.  Then £1800 by one in Birmingham substantial difference in price  The Birmingham one is much closer to where I live but it is only carried out during the evening and it all seemed a bit unpleasant and distasteful.   I then rang a clinic in central London on a very famous street and was quoted £700 per treatment or £1950 if you paid for all three.  There is an additional £275 for the consultation with a gyno.  It specialises in just womens problems and they have three full time gynocologists.  All very efficient and I felt confident so have booked for early August.

      Hi Linda

I would be very interested to hear how you get on with the treatments as I also live in the UK and am hoping to go ahead with it some time in the future. My main problem is vaginal dryness so I really need it to work on that!!

Hi Linda many thanks for your reply I have been quoted £500 per treatment by a recommended Gynaecologist (A Tozer) a London clinic , is there any chance that you have the address of the Birmingham clinic as this is much closer to me I know you said it seemed a bit distasteful, I seem to be struggling with clinics who actually carry this procedure out in the UK, I would like to get this done as I have been made redundant and want to look for a new job but I want to feel well without these issues hanging over my head.

Hi sorry for not replying sooner I am so free of symptoms I haven't been on this forum for ages.  To answer your question from the very next day I have not had any problems with dryness, sex is normal with no need for lubricants, no soreness afterwards it is uncanny.

I woke the following morning and as I lay in bed I tried to understand why I felt different and then I realised that for the first time in 2 years my vagina did not hurt and it was not the first thing I thought of.

I've had the second treatment and am scheduled for the third end of November.  The dryness was a nuisance but could be helped with creams and oils but for me it was the burning I felt like a red hot poker was constantly inside me and this last year recurring UTIs as well.  All that has gone.  I would like to say for good but I expect I will need a top up at some point in the future.

Hi, I had my first treatment on Friday in London, with miss Tozer. There is another hospital in Kent that is now offering the treatment too, Benenden hospital.

    hope this helps

Hi I had my first treatment carried out by A Tozer, totally straight forward procedure, no issues, but no info on aftercare, which didn't bother me too much as I do a lot of research on the internet anyway, no consultation fee either which was a huge plus for me, did approach another London clinic on that famous Road who provided a lot of info but satisfied with the route I chose early days yet

Thanks for letting me know. Fingers crossed for you. If it helps with the vaginal dryness I would definitely do it. At the moment I am using an Estring AND estriol cream daily. I can't take HRT as I've had breast cancer and my GP won't prescribe it sad  Keep me posted. smile

Hi Kathryn try the one on 25 Harley Street,. it is £700 for one or £1950 for the three treatments plus a one off consultation charge of £275.  I have had one treatment and to be honest think that was enough to sort me out but I've already paid for the three.  Personally I am back to how I was before no UTIs whatsoever no need for creams or anything else and sex is back to how it was too with no discomfort afterwards.

That is brilliant news, are you also saying that you do not need any HRT either, I have had one ML treatment but not sure I want to go back to that gyn, as this particular doctor waivered the consultation fee, but in hindsight you get what you pay for in this world and I dont feel enough questions were asked about my situation, so I am just debating what route to follow and seeing waht kind of issues re-appear. I have also being looking in to the different types of HRT estriol seems to be the kinder one I need to look in to this further. It is so re-assuring to hear of someones success story.
