MonaLisa Laser Therapy for young women (pre-pregnancy)

Hi everyone,
I am a 30 year old female, no kids yet but thinking of getting pregnant soon. I've had a mild version of LS for a year and a half now. It's mainly itching but pain is rare. I apply clobetasol everyday, which I didn't even think twice about until recently when I stopped and it was unmanageable so had to get back on it.
I have been looking for alternative treatments and came across something that has been mentioned on this forum as well - the MonaLisa Laser Therapy. My concern with it is:
It seems to be for menopausal women. The clinical trials have all been for women with menopause. I am not that
Are there any studies or any women out there who have had this treatment and went on to get pregnant and have children?
I am wondering if I should wait until after I have kids....thoughts?

Hi,
Similar situation to yourself, 29 years old and have been diagnosed for around 2.5 years. Although I have a mild version of the disease (from reading about it) I still find it difficult to deal with. Mainly due to having to plan out your sex life around LS and also I have pretty big concerns about what will happen long-term. If anyone has had LS for 10+ years and has any information about how its been!
I've been looking into Stem cell and Mona Lisa therapy (I assume you are UK based and referring to the clinic in London that offers it?). The evidence they have thus far is pretty convincing at least for me. There is limited evidence and it is miles away from ever being offered on the NHS but thats down to lack of research in LS and its also something we find (as a researcher myself) is a huge problem in womens health in general. Longevity of 'curing your symptoms' might be your main concern.. my understanding is its just not something any of the researchers in the area will be able to answer as I think this therapy has possibly only been going on for 5+ years. For stem cell lift they are claiming some women are having complete relief of symptoms for 3-5 years.. thats good enough for me. Who knows, perhaps managing the inflammation this way also helps reduce the risk of vulvar cancer?
I've liaised with the clinic and its something I'm looking to save up for, my understanding from them is that is fine to have pre-children. They extract your stem cells, from your fat and don't add anything to it. I'd have a chat with them about it and look into it as much as you can but it might be a bit of a leap of faith. I just wouldn't expect a cure.
P.s Most research is in post-menopausal women because this is when most people are diagnosed with LS. You are right to be concerned about lack of research in your age group but these therapies (although new for LS) are not new therapies for other conditions. So I'm still hopeful, it seem likes perhaps people have very severe LS might not see a 'cure in their symptoms', just a reduction. Might be worth seeing if you can have a chat with an NHS gynae or derm consultant who would be non-biased about it, ask your GP to refer.
