money go round and government thinking

Hi,

A lot of the benefit posts criticise government actions on their attempts to curb public spending especially the dla to pip criteria.

Although rules have been rewritten and goalposts moved to adjoining pitches it does seem strange that anyone could think the following would work:many thousands of people getting dla benefits, not sustainable, okay change rules so that thousands of people no longer get benefits, that's it job done.

Well no actually, some thousands that could get to work and contribute to taxes now languishing at home, others who could go to work and rely on carers to look after loved ones now have to cut their hours or give up altogether less taxes collected.

At the finish going by the logic of these steps there will be no pip claimants, no pip benefits to pay out and no taxes to come in as the employed will have given up work to become carers.

When the water boards started touting water meters to cut down our bills all but the nieve could see that when everyone had water meters installed the water companies could increase the prices unchecked, has anyone else noticed that it now costs the same for water going out as for the fresh treated water coming in.

Every thing is smoke and mirrors,

Mike.

Mike on of the things that has come to light and was even on BBC breakfast news was a woman who lost her leg and has a heavy prosthetic, she had an interview for a job and got it. Now she sits at home becasue she has had her mobiltiy car taken away and left with no way to get there. No logic in it at all.
