Mono and lymphatic massage

Posted , 5 users are following.

Just wanted to let everyone know suffering with mono that I’ve had two lymphatic drainage massages (not really a massage) it seemed to help the lymph nodes in my neck go down a bit and I had more  energy afterwards.

By no means a cure, just something that I’ve found that helps.

If you’re interested, look for a trained licensed lymphatic drainage therapist. Be sure to give them full disclosure about your condition.

Hi Jennifer, it’s not painful at all. It’s actually a VERY gentle touch. Think the weight of a nickel. I’m a massage therapist myself and assure you it was so relaxing I fell asleep a couple of times. And sleeping for me has been really hard lately with the night sweats, so it was really nice.  It helped some of the lymph drain from the nodes in my neck helping with the neck stiffness. Just look for a highly recommended Lymphatic Drainage therapist.

That's an interesting treatment some folks really bothered with their lymph nodes could definitely consider, thanks for posting that Tabitha!! Still thinking about you and hoping today can be a more settled day - remember you ARE going to get through this and get better, 100% I believe that.
