Mood Swings Followed by Digestion Troubles?

I'm 40 years old and have been in perimenopause since the birth of my last baby at 38. I have so many of the listed symptoms, but one that baffles me is having a sharp mood swing, usually from fine to raging fury of a thousand demons, and then waking up the next morning sick to my stomach and usually with diarrhea. It's happened several times over the last year or so, the wave of rage the one day followed by the stomach troubles the next. I think it took until the third time it happened for me to realize it might be connected to a sudden hormone swing, but I wondered if anyone else had this issue? A sudden mood swing or swings accompanied by stomach/gastric troubles?

Yes...it happened the other day. I got myself so worked up with stress and tension and immediately after it affected my stomach. I find it so difficult to manage my stress levels and will literally fly off the handle. I'm getting lots of physical symptoms from the stress, so I suspect this is another (I'm 41 and have been having symptoms of perimenopause for just over a year.

It's so hard. I honestly don't know how much of my tummy troubles (usually in the morning) are due to anxiety hitting me because of peri. The fact that it swings hard during the month tells me it's most likely hormones affecting everything, but I really hope it calms down post-menopause, because it's difficult dealing with this on the day to day.

yes me too! started peri at 40:(

Digestive issues are the worst constant acid and bloating.

My mood swings are the worst 😫

I find it effects my liver a lot. Also any strong chemicals too.

My periods are so heavy have had polyps removed twice now. Headaches aches pains hair falling out, break outs 😫😪

The breakouts! I had my period last week (two weeks late, argh) and my skin was so bad leading up to it this time, as bad as when I was in my teens! Then the day it started, I had diarrhea and nausea, that tapered off as the period faded out (mine are doing the opposite of yours and getting lighter and lighter, even though the symptoms are getting worse) but my regular doctor kept trying to tell me that my digestion troubles - which I never had before peri! -couldn't possibly be hormonal. (Thankfully my ob/gyn had a completely different opinion!)

agggghh Drs are clueless! Digestive issues are one of the common symptoms. They must read all this from the statistics of how many women are referred for endoscopies!

I wish my periods were light 😪. I get cystic spots along my jawline. I'm cleansing a lot and keeping a strict skin regime which has helped.

look in to zoe bee I use the green cream and it's calmed down my spots alot
