More Esophagus/Reflux questions. Any advice?

Have some more questions hopefully some of you can answer for me.

I've been taking ppi's 8 days now. I still have a burning sensation in my back. Should this still be happening?

It's really stressing me out.

Another thing i've lost about 9 pounds in weight over those 8 days as well. I have gone from eating fast food, crisps and other snacks all the time to eating really clean. I also can't get my anxiety under control and have been panicking about all this nonstop. I'm also tired all the time now.

Are these quick changes all part of the healing process or should I be more worried?

If you didn't see my original post. Im 29 years old ,5ft8, 16 stone having issues with food getting caught in my esophagus. Doctor has me on 40mg esomeprazole once daily and has me scheduled for an endoscopy in 4 or 5 weeks. I did ask him should i pay a private clinic and get it done asap but he said not too that at my age everything should be fine. Sorry if you read my previous post and im repeating myself.

Thanks to anyone who can advise me as I'm seriously panicking and full of anxiety.

Hi Cianiiixvi have you noticed when your anxiety started? I just sopped taking omeprazole a couple of days ago. Though i dont take it often , every time i try to it gives me anxiety and seem to worsen my acid reflux. I suggest you start monitoring your anxiety, did it start during the onset of takining the ppi , and another thing it usually causes weight loss for me. I just cannot take any kind of ppis ... i suggest to do some research on it.

I have had anxiety for years but its on another level since all this started. The ppi seems to have helped with some of my reflux but I dunno if its supposed to calm it down completely or just reduce it? My doctor really didn't give me a great explanation of what could be going on. Its literally the only thing I can think about now which is driving me crazy. All I've been doing lately is researching things on all this 😕
