More than IBS? 3 months ongoing issues.

This is the very first time I have posted an health issue on a forum. I am struggling to find the root cause of my issue.

Let me take you back 3 months or so ago, I had a pain in my right side down to my groin. The doctor suspected a UTI (infection) and put me on Co-Amoxiclav. I took a urine sample which was clear. I remember the Antibiotics making me feel rotten. After a week off the medication the pain came back. I went back to the doctor and was put on different antibiotics... I took one tablet that evening and was violently vomiting for two days. I continued with Co-Amoxiclav for a further week. The stomach issues since have been , intestinal cramps, pain in the RUQ , burning and discomfort. On two occasions extreme pain when going to the toilet including loose stools. Followed by days of some what constipation. I am trying the fodmap diet currently.

Tests- I have had , full blood account, celiac, stool samples for HPylori, and a Ultra sonic scan all which are clear.

Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks 😃

Hi, you could be gluten sensitive without having coeliac disease, no test for coeliac sensitivity, try cutting out gluten, you would have to read labels, you could be lactose intolerant, you would need to cut out milk / cheese etc, you would have to read labels again, what do you eat?.

My adult son had many of your symptoms and he had pancreatitis and blocked bile ducts, which needed to be stented. Hope your case is not so serious.

hi dean, i think given that you've had different antibiotics i think your poor body has reacted badly to it. if i were you speak to your chemist and ask if they know about these reactions. they may be able to suggest what you can take to settle your stomach back to the state it was in before the antibiotics. i wish you luck. oh and stick to really bland foods and probiotics, you have taken antibiotics, you need some goodness back.
