Morning anxiety and nausea

Three times recently I woke up between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. feeling anxious and nervous. That feeling would usually evolve into nausea and last 2 to 3 hours. The first time it happened I thought it was due to some food I ate but after checking with others who ate the same thing I found out that no one else was sick. It just happened again. About 20 mins ago I woke up out of a very deep sleep. I feel anxious right now. I am not sure if it's normal for anxiety to wake you up. Does this happen to anyone else? I've had a certain issue on my mind lately. Could this sort of thing happen when you go to bed with something on your mind? My stomach is not the best. I have this acid build up and possible gastritis and reflux. I don't know if at that time in the morning when my stomach is empty the acid is too much...causing the upset/nausea. I really don't want to keep losing sleep or having my sleep disturbed. Any thoughts or advice on what I can do? I just drank some antacid in case it's an acid flare up.

Hey honey, anxiety can definitely wake you up. It has woken me up many times. Even when I'm not especially worried about anything. It can make you feel sick aswell. That could definitely be another symptom of anxiety. Taking antacids is a good idea, It won't do you any harm. The only advice I can give is to go with it and let it pass. Maybe when you sort your problem out, you won't feel so anxious. Hope you feel better soon honey. Try not to worry-it will pass. Donna xxx

Nearly every day I wake up feeling anxious in the morning, and my stomach churning. Do you take any tablets, as they make me feel sick.

I'm sorry that you have to go through that. The only tablet I'm on right now is Tagamet for my stomach acid problem. I don't take any anxiety meds
