Morning Headaches

Hi, I'm a 30 yr old woman and I wondered if anyone is suffering similar headaches and what they have done to try and combat them. For the past few months Im being awoken from sleep in the morning with a severe headache this is predominantly in the side of my head (whichever side I was sleeping on) the degree of severity heightens the more I have slept. Once I get up the pain moves and feels like a crushing weight on the top of my skull along with pain at the base of my skull with my neck and down my spine to about my shoulder blades feels stiff and aches. Gradually my spine and neck pain/stiffness wear off and the headache lessens to a bearable level after an hour or so. Sometime I can have the head pain for several hours even after pain killers and adequate hydration. This is becoming the norm but I feel constantly exhausted by the headaches and long to wake up with no pain in my head. Is there anything I can do to prevent these headaches or any tips on how to alleviate the symptoms more efficiently and effectively. Thankyou.

This may be due to the position you lie in bed - try no more than 2 pillows  even 1 if you are comfortable A visit to a physio might be helpful too . Hope it gets better soon
