Morning sickness in Men. Please advice.

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have been suffering from this wierd morning sickness lately. Upon waking up I feel nauseous and start to cough which further worsens the nausea. I feel a stuffy nose and uneasiness. Everytime I cough it feels like I'd puke but it never happens. Ialso feel mucous produced in the throat. I am unable to eat anything because of this in the morning. And this subsides after 2-3 hours on its own. Please advice what should be done for this. I'd much appreciate it.

P.S : I am not suffering from cough problems the rest of the day.

Do you take any prescription drugs, or any other drugs?

I wonder whether it is GORD -

    Gastro oesophageal reflux disease

Have you spoken to your local pharmacist, or your GP?

Have you discussed it with your GP?  That ought to be your first port of call, or else your local Pharmacist

I follow an active lifestyle, work out daily. So all I take is multivitamins and fish oil capsules. But I doubt that is the problem as this happened even before I was taking them. Does GORD get triggered upon waking up only? Because rest of the day I feel just fine.

I asked about drugs because it can be the side effect of some drugs.

GORD can be a problem when you lie down because the acid in your stomach can travel up your gullet.  You could ask the advice of your pharmacist.  You could try buying some Ranitidine tablets & taking them as the instructions tell you.  Generic ones are just as good as expensive branded ones.

Food can set it off too.

Talk to a pharmacist.  It really could be anything, oral thrush is another thing and  it could also be something sinister.

You are sufficiently concerned to ask the question on here, so, ask a Pharmacist & be advised & if s/he suggests talking to your GP, then do.

      Good luck.
