OMG... Hi Susan, If youv'e seen any of my other post you know how many jokes are in this for me wink but in the correct context of hip op recovery I have to agree, it takes me a good hour, up and about, stretching muscles, before my operated leg is back to the strength it had the day before. In other words , yes morning stiffness is awful until it is relieved lol. I find giving it a good ru....not going there... I have been mostly in the spare room at night cause cant lay still...constantly have to move leg to get comfy.Sometimes a pillow under knee helps, sometimes pillow betwen knees and lay on side for a bit, sometimes just sliding foot up n down bed bending knee... Having said that last night slept in own bed only moved a few times and felt well rested this morning and my better half didn't even moan so must've been fairly quiet, cause she up for work quite happily,so i think it getting bettersmile.

I still have yet to sleep in my bed I mean really sleep not just lay there for an hour before this need to get up and move my leg sets in. Some I came home from the hospital my nights are spent in the trusty recliner so when the need to move sets in I can get up without disturbing hubby, he needs a sleep to.

Don't mean to be rude Amanda , but if you and hubby are old enough have you thought of going into sheltered accommodation , you wouldn't have to worry aboutpractical things so much
