I had headaches and nausea pretty severally for a bout a month and a half, but it was a side affect and wore off. I was on 200mg and recently dropped down to 100mg..Good luck I hope this one works for you

      Hi Amber

Can I ask, how did you find being on 200mg as that is what my dr put me on 2.5 weeks ago? Are you finding 100 better ? And did 200 mg give you stomach pains??

      Hi Colls10,

I was worked up from 50mg a day to 200 over the course of 20 days. I did have some stomach ilpains and upset tummy for a little while but it subsided .. I really can't tell a difference between 200mg and 100mg to be honest other than 200 would make a me a bit sleepy sometimes. It did and i still do have pretty strong headaches and twitching in muscles, hands, feet, arms, and eyes. The twitching has become common for me but not an all day event. I hope it works for you. It for sure is not a miracle pill.. I wish I would have not taken it for this long

Thanks for that . It does worry me as I thought this was going to be a good anti d to be taking but the more I read the less good things I'm seeing about them!!!

As I said I'm in 200 mg and have been for about 3 weeks nearly, and I'm thinking maybe is be better cutting that down as 200 is he highest dose and is giving me the stomach aches and cramps headaches and sleepless nights etc, although is elevating me mood😕, what to do what to do.

    Hi Don

I take mine in the morning because I was told that was the best time to take them. Usually between 0800 and 0900 and, on a full stomach.

I have been on them now for 8 weeks almost and I am feeling so much better but I also work hard to keep my routines in place, meals, bedtimes etc. because my life had become out of sync.

Today, I can honestly say I am beginning to feel like my old self ...long may it last 😊

Experiment to see what suits you.

    All the best to you,

    Jinny

      Hi again Don

      I have ME/CFS.

I have been bed bound, wheelchair bound to go out and wondering whatever is going on in my life for a few years now !

Would not accept it to begin with until the head felt like it was full of treacle, body became useless, fatigued and unable to get my legs working! I eventually gave in when I realised I could no longer do very much.

After finding out I didn't have MS due to second opinion, I was told it was ME. I think they can crossover somewhere but still no excuse. The specialist went on long term sick so I soon realised that there was something a miss😡 I was anxious, angry....you name it, I felt it.

I have now taken my condition into my own hands and research, ask and push for what Ithink I need.

I am fortunate though as I have family members who also have had ME and are so supportive on a daily basis . The phone rings and it keeps me motivated😊

My cousin took Sertraline at its lowest dose for a long time to assist with the ME; ten years later and she's recovered. She kept badgering me to take it...so eventually I gave in.

My feet used to be freezing and my chest hurt, muscular. I started on half a tablet then after 2 weeks went onto 1 tab. 50 mg. I have been on it for 8 weeks now. The treacley head has gone, my feet are warm , My chest pain has gone and I am starting to feel my old self.

The Sertdaline is just a part of my programme; I take Regular Ibruprofen daily to stem the pain in my groin ( better to do that than waste my energies on pain) so I am advised.

Groinal lymph node pain fits with ME.

I attend clinic monthly and keep a very rigid daily diary; my routines are all predictable.

I didn't realise how hard it was going to be resting at intervals to fill up my bottle. My body doesn't work but my brain is as sharp as a magpie !!! 😍

A lot of people say PMA doesn't work but it's got me through the last six months.

      It's good to talk.

      Persevere with the Sertraline.

I understand that people take it for different reasons but, once in your system, if it works for you and you have no nasty side effects, stick with it.

I don't know much about the addiction of Sertraline when you increase the dose but I believe at 50 mg daily there are no issues when you come off it.

Look forward to hearing your progress. Will follow you

      Best wishes

      Don,

By the way, I started feeling better after about 4 weeks.

For me, it's about finding my baseline then building back up slowly. I will only use 50mg no more because I'm not using it as an antidepressant. I'm trying to get my mind and body back in sync.
