Morton's Neuroma

Posted , 3 users are following.

I thought I had tendonitis in my right foot, but when I went to my physiotherapist she thought it might be Morton's Neuroma. (sore nerves)

She massaged the foot and the pain came from the top of foot under the little toes. Evidently it's extremely common with women wearing tight shoes, etc.

Although I live in tennis shoes so not applicable to me I gather.

I'm making an appointment with a specialist who possibly can give me a shot.  Never ever consider surgery except as a last resort because there may be numerous repercussions that will plague you as an aftermath.

      What is the treatment?

I have a meniscal tear and the pain is driving me mad. Do you know of any non surgical treatment that could help please.

Non-surgical treatment would be rest, ice, compression, elevation and physical therapy.

Or having surgical repair which would sew the tear together.

I would avoid total meniscectomy which removes the entire meniscus as this option increases the risk of osteoarthritis.

    Hi louise70085

I had a mortons neuroma removed from my left foot approximately 5yrs ago i have a 2inch scar inbetween my 3rd and 4th toe going up onto the bridge of my foot , a mortons neuroma is a tumour that grows on the nerves of the feet , usually benign and usually near the toes , it cause pain when standing and in myself a feeling as if my bones were being pushed apart , surgery was best for me , they remove the nerve that the tumour is growing on , only downside is i have numb toes and so much of the foot it numb
